St. Stephen the Witness Campus Ministry Team

Len became involved at St. Stephen's when he enrolled as a student at Iowa State Teachers College (now UNI) in 1953. With the exception of four years, he has been active in a variety of activities which have included the pre-marriage program, alumni relations, and liaison to UNI. Since his ordination as a deacon in 1989, he has been more involved in liturgical celebrations and preaches about once a month. He began as the director of the Permanent Diaconate in the Archdiocese of Dubuquein 1996, two years after retiring from the UNI faculty. He resigned this position in 2001. Daily he is most ardent about prayer and his jogging three times weekly. He likes to read and study, thinks a trip to Waterloo qualifies as travel, and enjoys the daily fascination of work to be done and people to know. Len and his wife of 50 years Gail have three adult children and four grandchildren.
