Hello! Thank you to all who have inquired and assisted the recent victims of the tornado and floods in the local area. As we can all imagine, this need will be with us for quite a while. I encourage you to watch and listen to the local media for opportunities to reach out to those in need. It is amazing to watch friend and stranger alike to come together in this time of need. *************************************************************** WEDNESDAY PRIME TIME Join us on Wednesday for Prime Time Liturgy. Volleyball and yard games will follow in the court yard for all interested in staying around! *************************************************************** STURGIS FALLS This weekend is Sturgis Falls in downtown Cedar Falls. There are free bands playing near the river front. Watch the papers and take your friends. There is a parade on Saturday morning at 10:00am. The Cedar Falls Municipal Band will be performing on Sunday, June 29, at 5pm as well. *************************************************************** FREE MUNICIPAL BAND CONCERTS Free Municipal Band Concerts on Tuesday nights at 7:30pm in Cedar Falls and on Thursday nights in Waterloo. *************************************************************** MOVIES UNDER THE MOON Friday, July 11 ~ Sign up sheets are available for Movies Under the Moon. Fr. Ken will be out of town for development this weekend so we are in need of someone to coordinate transportation for those who need it. Music starts at 7:00 PM and the movie, Over the Hedge (PG) will begin at dusk. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Don't forget your bug spray! *************************************************************** DISC GOLF Wednesday, July 16 ~ Post Prime Time Disc Golf. Adam Bormann is planning this outing and all are welcome to join us. A sign up sheet is available in the lobby. Contact Adam at 515-320-3724 for more information. *************************************************************** INTO THE WOODS Into the Woods at Waterloo Community Playhouse on Saturday, July 19th at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $19 for students and $22 for non-students. Please sign up on the credenza in the lobby by Monday, July 14 so tickets can be purchased! **************************************************************** ST. STEPHEN CLOSED Monday, June 30, through Friday, July 4, St. Stephen will be closed for carpet removal, carpet cleaning, and for Independence Day! There will be no Prime Time on Wednesday, July 2. St. Stephen will reopen Sunday, July 6th for 10:30am Eucharist. **************************************************************** VOLUNTEERS NEEDED St. Stephen is in of volunteers to help remove carpet from our chapel and gathering space at the end of June.
